Improving the water situation in Homs governorate in light of the suffering of the people to secure drinking water in the governorate’s areas and finding unconventional solutions was the focus of the meeting of the Governor of Homs, Engineer Namir Makhlouf, with the directors of the Water Corporation, the Electricity Company and the Homs Fuel Branch, in the presence of the specialized members of the Executive Office.
After reviewing the reality of work in detail and estimating the daily needs of fuel and electricity for pumping water and operating diesel stations, the governor emphasized the direct and continuous coordination between water and electricity and the development of an integrated joint work-coordination program according to a plan that includes new solutions to alleviate the suffering and need of citizens for water, especially In the countryside and achieving justice in distributing electricity and pumping water between neighborhoods, while speeding up the provision of continuous electrical supply to the new water pumps feeding the Al-Waer area and the reservoirs of the neighborhoods of the southeastern region of the city.
