Civil Defense and Homs Firefighters put out this morning a fire that broke out in agricultural crops in the village of Al-Dumaina Al-Gharbiyye in the Al-Qusayr area in the southwestern countryside of Homs.

The Director of the Civil Defense in Homs, Brigadier General Ghiath Aqel, stated that the branch’s operations room received a report about a fire in agricultural crops in the lands of the western village of Duminah.

He pointed out that the burned area amounted to about 25 dunums, and the fire was caused by an electric spark from the tension towers passing through the area.

Yesterday, firefighters in Homs put out a fire that broke out in a warehouse in the village of Al-Haydariyah in the western countryside of the governorate, and the damage was limited to material.
