President al-Assad issues a decree extending exemption for production requirements and raw materials used in the human

pharmaceutical industry from customs duties and taxes
In support of the pharmaceutical sector and in view of the necessities resulting from the unilateral coercive economic measures imposed on Syria and the resulting increase in the costs of transferring the value of imports of raw materials entering the pharmaceutical industry to the owners of local pharmaceutical factories, and the high costs of shipping and insurance several times.
Today, President Bashar al-Assad issued Legislative Decree No. 12 of 2022 extending the provisions of Legislative Decree No. 14 of 2020 until 07/31/2023.
And Legislative Decree No. 14 of 2020 exempting production requirements and raw materials used in the human pharmaceutical industry from customs duties specified in the effective customs tariff schedule issued by Decree No. 377 of 2014 and all taxes and other fees imposed on import.
