The Governor of Homs, Engineer Bassam Parsik, met with the Country Director of the World Food Program, Ross Smith, and the accompanying delegation, at the General Secretariat.
Where the Governor of Homs reviewed the current situation of the governorate in terms of stability and recovery witnessed by the various sectors and the historical and civilizational importance of many of its sites and regions. As it was and in order to encourage more people to return.

Eng. Parsik praised the efforts and support provided by the organization, pointing out the importance of increasing this support, especially with regard to supporting small and micro enterprises for their role in achieving financial returns for citizens in light of the difficult economic conditions they are experiencing as a result of unilateral economic sanctions. He reiterated the governorate’s readiness to provide possible facilities to facilitate the organization’s work In the delivery of support to all those who deserve it.

In turn, the country director of the World Food Program expressed his happiness for his first visit to Homs Governorate, praising the facilities and measures taken by the governorate to facilitate the work of the organization, stressing the continuation of efforts to encourage donors to give more material support to benefit from it and employ it in establishing more livelihood projects, which are of great benefit. To the beneficiary citizens, indicating that the organization always seeks to convey the actual picture of the reality of the governorate and its real need for support and assistance.
